Discovering the Joys of the Season
Greetings to each one of you today.
As we are currently not working in the National office but now from our homes, so many things have shifted. We can’t visit children, grandchildren, neighbours, go to movies or even church.
Today I want want to share with you one of the delights that I am finding in this “surprise” season that has come upon every single one of us.
For me it is the extended time I have to read and soak in the word of God - in the morning, in the afternoon or in the evening. There is time to research references, look up meanings and listen to the still small voice for fresh understanding and greater revelation the Holy Spirit is giving me. And I love that!
In Isaiah 55:8-11 it says:
“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts” says the Lord.
“And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.
For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than yours and My thoughts higher that your thoughts.”
The rain and the snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground
To water the earth.
They cause the grain to grow,
Producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry.
It is the same with My word.
I send it out, and it always produces fruit.
It will accomplish all I want it to,
And it will prosper everywhere I send it.”
These verses speak to my heart that in this world wide troubled season like we are in, the word of God is available to us to see new fruit, lasting fruit, come forth within us and those we share with.
I encourage you to discover the joys of this season as God leads us through it all.
We can stand strongly on the word and the promises given in it for all who will believe.
Be a gentle and encouraging hope as you sow seed for the Lord.
With love,
Kerry-Ellen
